I had this setup among two of my servers using the older 2.5.2 OpenSSH. The procedure I used was:
Have both machines log into one another so that their host keys are known, add entries to root's .shosts on each, and voila, I could ssh to/from each machine to kick off jobs or do whatever. I updated to 2.9 and it is broken broken broken. I cannot seem to find the right arguments/config file changes, etc to make this work. My configuration is properly configured, I have both v1 and v2 types of keys - what are the magic options that need to be set on both ends to make this work? I'm able to get this to work by using ssh-keygen, creating identity/id_rsa/id_dsa files, and copying those over into authorized keys - and this is probably the better way, but I'm frustrated and irritated that I cannot seem to make this work as it did before. Can anyone help? Thanks, -- MaTThew Hall | Life isn't fair. [EMAIL PROTECTED] | But the root password helps.
