I've done this two different ways:

1) I port forward the ssh port (22) on the G/W Linux box to the machine behind the G/W Linux box I want to connect to.

2) I ssh into the G/W Linux box and then have an automatic or manual ssh to the machine behind the G/W linux box I want to connect to.

In either case, I ssh to the G/W linux box ie. the one with the public IP address. It works quite nicely at a number of my customer sites.

Hi all!

I would like to know if its possible with ssh (or something else like telnet) to connect to an internal box in a network that doesn't have a public IP, just it's gateway has. For example:

My linux box is in the internet somewhere and I want to connect with ssh to other linux box that has this IP 192.168.10.101 in their internal network, I'm not in that internal network but I know the IP that has the gateway that share the internet connection with others PCs including the 192.168.10.101

How I can connect with 192.168.10.101 ?

Thanks!
Rocael.
