I am writing an analysis for my team about moving to secure shell. An outside security group recommended using SSH Tectia, but I have only ever used OpenSSH. I understand that the OpenSSH version does not use patented algorithms (i.e., the IDEA transport algorithm). Would I be losing anything by using the OpenSSH version? Is it less secure than the commercial version? Is there an advantage to one over the other (besides the cost)?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide! -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/commercial-SSH-vs.-OpenSSH-tf2793928.html#a7794430 Sent from the SSH (Secure Shell) mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
