Hi Folks,

We recently moved some server apps from Linux to Windows 2003 Server
Enterprise (don't ask).

We installed the latest cygwin and OpenSSH (as of last week) and have an
application that sftp's data files to this server on a scheduled basis.
We noticed incoming file transfers were not occurring to the Windows server
and then found about 64 hung sftp-server.exe processes hung on the Windows
Server.

We wrote this off as somehow due to a backlog of data syncs that built up
while to we performed our cutover over the course of a weekend, so killed
all these processes.
They built up again and noticed a message in the system event log saying
the machine had run out of desktop heap.

Anyone encountered this before and found a way to mitigate it?

(Moving back to Linux is not a helpful suggestion for me :-)

Thanks,
Kevin
