scp .ssh/id_rsa.pub [EMAIL PROTECTED]:.ssh/authorized_keys

changed the permissions on authorized_keys
chmod 600

What are the permissions on ~/.ssh ??  IIRC, the correct permissions are
700.  If your permissions are not correct sshd will not accept pubkey
authentication.
