-Ddecoy_host1,decoy2[,...] Hide scan using many decoys
I am assuming that you are talking about this option in nmap? If so
nmap will place you in a random position in the list of decoys that you
provide. You can also specify your position by inserting 'ME' (no
quotes) in your list. Read the man page for the full details of this
option and all the others. If you are using the windows port of nmap
from eEye then the zip file that you extract will have the man page in
'D:\Temp\Nmapnt\nmapNT-src\nmap_manpage.html' (if d:\temp\' is where you
extracted your files.

Subject: nmap-spoofing-question
Hi all.
I hope anybody can help me with this little question. How is it possible
to get
the scanning-results with nmap, when I spoof the address? I thought,
that if a
computer gets a syn-packet or whatever, it sends its syn-ack or whatever
back to
the ip which sent the syn or any other kind of packets.
I've tried to figure it out with a sniffer, because I thought maybe it
sends
out packets from many random ips including the sender's and the spoofed,
but I
think that was wrong...
Thanks for any kind of answer.
Chris
