You are not always root. Certainly you are not implying that Linux compartmentalizes user priviledges better than NT? And no, I am not including other UNIX systems that have the similar capabilities for segmenting access to different user subsets as does NT. This is very much a Linux issue. Of course, sudo changes things considerably, but I'm speaking merely on principle of the core OS design.
