related to my last posting:

According to the article I read (on SANS, I think), IE5.5 SP2 should be safe from the
vulnerability which would allow infection of nimda by simply visiting a web site or
opening an email.

I have installed IE55 SP2 on all my machines, however when I visited an infected web
site, the worm attempted to run, just by going to the main web page and not attempting
to download anything. I understand this should not have happened. Am I wrong that
SP2 is not enough to prevent this? I went to MS web site to download SP2 and
re-apply, but it seems you can only do a full install of IE55+SP2, rather than just
the SP. I spent a long time on a custom install and don't want to lose the settings.
Has anyone been able to find just an SP2 patch for IE55?

Thanks,

JJ
