Hi,

As we all know compressing encrypted data is not something that can be
considered useful, sinds it should show random paterns and that does not
compress that well (understatement..)

But, SSL for example, had options to include compression options / plug-in's
/ what ecver to do some compression before the encryption takes place. Is
there anyone who has expiriences with this? On is familiar with these kind
of things?

For an application we need to send a lot of text-data using a browser
interface and we need to encrypt it. Be we could gain a lot - and have lots
of leaselines- with data compression, only you need to do that before all
the data in encryped.

Any pointers?

Thanx,
Renee.
