Kristofer,
If you are looking for something to parse event logs i know there is
a perl module for that and iv seen quite a few free utilities when searching
on google. Im not much of an NT administrator but i would start by looking
in the event logs and make sure you are completely up to date with service
packs and hot fixes. Once you think you are all up to date i would
recommend downloading a program like nessus (www.nessus.org) and run it
against your machines.
Hope this helps,
Brian

Subject: Event viewer and IIS crashes
Hello all,
Does anyone know of a good tool that can decipher the Event Viewer?
Also
does anyone know of a good tool that determines causes of IIS hangs and
crashes?
We run primarily IIS4 and IIS5 servers at my firm and at times need
Microsoft
assistance (OK, OK....you can stop feeling sorry for us!). I would like to
be
able to determine these mishaps without outside intervention if possible.
