I have install TIS (http://www.fwtk.org) this is very powrefull, This is application gateway and ICMP packet is kill into firewall, no traceroute no ping is available from network user or private network user. The snmp gateway is available with install smap, smapd, and ssmtp (find this into FAQ section). I have test http, ftp, and smtp gateway and run, at this time i have start security test of this gateway but is hard. this is very easy.
