SPAN on the small Cisco switches (2900,3500) will allow you to monitor one or more ports on a switch as long as all of the ports are in the same VLAN. On the 5000 and 6000 series switches you can monitor multiple ports across VLANs, or entire VLANs.

I am pretty sure that all of the Cisco Catalyst switchs perform SPAN (Switch Port ANalyzer) or port monitoring. We perform a lot of tests on Catalyst 2900XL and 3500XL switches using SPAN. Good luck! ___________________________________ Andrew H. What I want is one port, that gets all the traffic of the other ports on that switch. Best regards, Marc Mc Guinness
