Hey I have to say that I am very curious as ti any isp that uses NAT for it's dialup or even broadband accounts. To be honest I've never heard of it being done. However, firstly do you have to add the port into your browser or is it a transparent proxy? if it isn't trasparent then they probably aren't forcing you to use it? it sounds more like your on a LAN and want to bypass the proxy.
