You can log it to a syslog server and IMHO if you know about IDS (how
they work and what to expect) and what signatures are on the machine
it is fairly easy to interpret. If the original poster is still
having problems please feel free to contact me offline and I Will
help them.

Best regards,

Leon

I'm not aware Cisco Works will work for interpreting messages sent
from
IDS boxes. Cisco Secure Policy Manager (CSPM) will manage the
devices
and report the occurrences.

Hello, i'm about to buy a Cisco IDS-4210 but there is a BIG problem.
I
need the IDS to monitor and send mail if some special event happens.
I
means, i need advanced reporting and monitoring features. Does
CicsoWorks do that??
Cisco users with experience?
Thanks
Ivan Hernandez
