There are a few systems that I do not log onto very often (also not a privaleged account) so I have taken to writing down the passwords. I make a list like the following and keep it in my wallet. a9q81kq8 d7l2d72j m21l2op8 i2xs399q l0q01mdr etc.... This list is not marked in any way (eg. THIS IS MY PASSWORD LIST!!) so it is not ovious that it is a list of passwords. Even if somone were to steal my wallet knowing that I keep this list and they are passwords they would still have to choose three of a dozen or so passwords from the list before they locked the account. another trick I do sometimes with this list is to make it 8 characters long but only use 6 of them and just shift somehow. hb24j90a ^^^^^^ - only use these characters (password is b24j90) Given a three strikes and your out login policy, this makes it extremely difficult for anybody to make any use of my list. My memory really sucks and I even have difficuly with those mnemonic things like "My Brother Always Cuts Cheese in A Dress" for mBacc14d. (now I have to remember; "where did I capitalize?" "where did I substitute numbers for letters?") Just thought I would add my 2p. _____________________________________________________________ Visit these sites today Blink 182 Fan Site - www.blink182.co.nz NZ Skateboarding - www.nzskate.com
