Hello all. Am trying to set up a development server over the Internet
so it can be accessed more easily by remote teams of developers. A CVS
repository is available there, and what I want is for that repository to
be accessible remotely over SSH. In addition, I want the SSH server to
bind to a nonstandard random port number, as opposed to the well known
port 22. Why make things any easier for the script kiddies who will
inevitably start to probe the box? But setting CVS_RSH='ssh -p xyz'
doesn't work; apparently CVS thinks that the entire string is the name
of the rsh command it should be using, which is clearly not what I
intend (because this won't work, neither will aliases). I could
reconfigure SSH to connect to that port by default, but that only seems
to further complicate matters for everyone. Short doing this or hacking
into the CVS source, is there any other way?
