Boy it must be nice to work for a company that can spend the $189 per work station to upgrade in this economy. In the real world however many of us are using 98 for workstations not because we want to but because we have to. That being the case spending $249 for a site license for lockdown software is a hell of a lot easer to get approved by the powers that be.
so for a more realistic approach try GS98 from arcsoft uk. we use it here for several computers and it will do what you want to do and it works great for a reasonable price. http://www.arcsoftware.co.uk/products/prods_gs98_ac.htm -wtb [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: >Get rid of it and install Windows 2000. > >-----Original Message----- >From: Tarik Williams [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] >Sent: Wednesday, April 03, 2002 3:52 PM >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: Re: Windows 98 lockdown > > >Last time we were using Windows 9x, we used a product called Fortres >101. > >It looks like it still exists, and has been updated to include some new >features which appear to fit exactly into your requirements. > > >http://www.fortres.com/ > > >--tarik > >>>> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 20:18:46 Monday, April 01, 2002 >>> > > >I hope this would be the right place to post this.
