The New Riders book "Linux Firewalls" is pretty good, provides lots of 
examples. If you do purchase the New Riders book, make sure you pick up the 
2nd edition, as the first is ipchains only; The 2nd covers iptables.

I can't vouch for the O'Reilly book, never read it, but most here can probably 
agree that O'Reilly has always put out above par books.
