Hi folks, I Have to find argument, and authority advices on the following security concept. We usie Web application, to publish info from a Database (Can be a DB2, or SQL, no mlatter). Those info can be accessed vie e.g UserIOd/password, or some of them via Anonymous. Anyway, one of the great point is that the integrity of the DB must be preserved. The DB is located inside the Corporate Network. So we use a multi-layered approach, with a lot of Firewall's, IDS, Content check, etc... We proposed a topology based on the following layers : Presentation | Business Logic | Datastore. We want those 3 layers to be segregated. This means that they have to be on 3 different machine, 3 different Network segments, separated by firewall... Sure enough, System and operation guy are reluctant to such an increase in work load... 3 machine(minimu) in place of 1... Here is (finally) the question : Can one provide me with Comment, URL, source, Books, etc... where I can get some advices going in this way, from Authority-people.. I mean, poeple or organisation who are know to have founded advices, knowledge.. etc.. Like Security recommendation from IBM, from Cisco, From Mister.....(Put here a know person in the business).... Any help will be appreciated, as I already found articles and papers discussing this principle, but laking the big name... ( Big financial institution need big references...)
