Hi Sebastian: IP Spoofing Links:
1) http://advice.networkice.com/Advice/Underground/Hacking/Methods/Technical/Sp oofing/default.htm An excellent resource. 2) http://www.citi.umich.edu/u/provos/security/ph48.txt May be the 1996 reference that you mentioned. 3) http://www.robertgraham.com/pubs/firewall-seen.html Also if you use the Advanced Search features of Google and limit the Domain field to "robertgraham.com" and use the Search word "spoofing", it returns 10 references. I would have included the URL, but with the way it wraps, it is quicker to use the method that I suggested. 4) http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue63/sharma.html 5) http://rr.sans.org/threats/intro_spoofing.php Should get you on your way. Now I am a little more aware on the subject and I also have some documentation and even programs related to this topic. For me, this subject is closely related to the one of building IP packets from scratch (I mean: building IP packets in user space), because using this method you can overide the OSI 3rd and 4th layer from kernel, thus building an IP packet with the desired parameters (not only the source address but TOS bits, TTL value etc, changed). If still interested please announce me and I cand send you some (I hope) valuable docs and code. And of course, don't forget the googling method... satisfaction guaranteed!!! ave, Seba
