        linux kernel version 2.4.x supports packet filtering and 802.1d
transparent ethernet bridging.  more information about this can be found
at http://bridge.sourceforge.net.  you can now choose to run a bridge or
a firewalling router, whichever is right for you.


i would think either linux or a bsd variant should be able to handle
this for you.
