Hmm... well, I guess it depends on your exact situation. Do you need the advanced access control that Protegrity offers, or are you just trying to protect customer information? Do you need a "turnkey" solution? How soon do you need it? One question in particular comes to mind: Are you using custom made software (possibly even coded in-house)? If so, if might be (easier|cheaper|better) to implement encryption directly at the application layer, rather than purchasing another app, and adding another layer of headaches to deal with. Unfortunately, if you're using commercial, closed-source software this likely isn't an option (unless you can sweet talk the vendor :) I think that the list needs a little more info before we can really recommend anything. - Peter Kristolaitis
