Set up a linux box with an ssh deamon running, enable the sftp plugin and create an unprivileged user.
Your supplier may now access this box trough plain ssh (console) or scp to transfer files or use an ftp client like VanDyke's SecureFX which speaks ftp over ssh and share files this way. Easy to set up and maintain Except ssh is no dmz pinhole needed (correct me, If I'm wrong). IMHO, this is the easiset way to achieve what you want...
