If just for them, I'd make sure it's on a stand alone pc, locked down and very restriced access. I also would not put any type of email on it and definitely a virus scanner or two. Now, if you could add a firewall (software or hardware) this might provide you with a temp backup internet connection should your main link go down. I'd regulate who had access to this as well.
