My client currently has a two-node Windows 2000 cluster. They have chosen
to use the "auto-share" feature to autoshare home directories one level
below a "parent share". These child shares inherit the same share
permissions as the parent share had at the time the share was created.
However, due to organizational changes, I find myself often having to change
the permissions of the "parent" share. But these changes do not appear to
propagate to the child shares, at least in a timely fashion. I found that
if I take the "parent" resource offline, and back on using the cluster
administrator, these changes are almost instantly propagated (or the shares
are recreated). Can anyone provide me with more information?

Thanks
Carl
