Almost all net. adadpters can be set to promiscuous mode (with system privs). And how/what would you use to presumably scan all network interfaces to see if they are in prmoiscuous mode? > I know, that there are some tools for examining where > the sniffing actions came from (sniffit e.g.) but i Sniffit is a packet sniffer itself and can be compiled on many other Unix's (Linux, FreBSD...and I have even ported it to OSF). Fadi, what made you think you were being sniffed in the first place?
