Stephen, 
        We actually just developed a network security system called ANVIL that
supports remote log storage, and makes it easy to search/detect issues.
If you go to www.secnetops.com, click on the products like you can see
what I am talking about. ANVIL might be overkill for your needs.

        What about setting up a utility to send system logs from the windows
systems to a unix array on UDP 514?  I know that there are quite a few
tools that do that.
