Hello there:
I am trying netscape 7.0 with the intention to replace IE/OE. I was wondering what your opinion is about it from a security perspective. Personally, I use The Bat! and laugh about email viruses. The problem is the whole bunch of people I must provide support: they dont like The bat! ("you know, OE is so much more beautiful, plus, we can see html messages and all those wonderful linked images...and its free!"). Ok, they already know they don't have to open strange attachments, but today viruses have lots of ways of autoexecuting and hide themselves behind quite innocent subjects (Ive also convinced people not to use preview pane). To make things worse, everyday more new viruses spread faster than AV definitions... etc.
So, if implementing Netscape, what should I be aware of? Netscape security news says nothing about current vulns.
Any help/advice greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Juan
