With all the help from you folks, I managed to create and successfully validate XML DSig.

But life never seems to get tired of throwing problems at our way, does it ?

The program had to be integrated with a Test Suite, which is actually an MDB deployed on Sun One Application Server, with some ancillary helper classes.

Now I push the message to be validated as a text message onto a queue and the validation fails each time.

Is it possible that conversion to a text message ruins the xml dsig structure, though I presume c14n should take care of it…

The thing which is driving me up the wall is that the very same program validates fine when verified using a stand alone program.

Another maybe disconnected observation, the xml dsig validation fails when <java_home>/jre/lib/endorsed directory has sax.jar, dom.jar, xalan.jar and xercesImpl.jar.  Is there a known reason behind this?

Best Always,
