The goal that we are trying to accomplish is to inform, but more importantly, make sure that we have a seat at the table for these discussions. I don't want LF being the only OSS voice in the room. (Not disparaging them, I just want to make sure that we can advocate for our projects/communities/users) I also don't want a repeat of what happened with Heartbleed, or for them to take actions that result in deleterious effects on our project/communities. I do want them to make sound investments and policy decisions that are in the best interest of the Foundation and our downstreams.
