One potential issue I can think of is related to ease of upgrade. If you use zfs for zones, it will be harder to upgrade the system when each zone has its own (different) /opt. I believe live upgrade with UFS TX zones works. A bug is being worked on to make standard upgrade work. Upgrade with ZFS zones is planned for S10U6.
