Hello,
I currently have an network configuration which includes a system running MNF 8.2 with four network interfaces, each to its own zone and subnet, and a set of zone-based rules controlling traffic running through the firewall.
I wish to reconfigure my network so that two of those subnets between reside behind a router that will be connected to one of the interfaces. Aside from defining static routes on the firewall, creating "host zones" to redefine the zones by subnet instead of by interface, etc., will I need to redefine the zone-based rules for the new configuration, or will the existing zone-based rules still work in my new network configuration? Are there any other considerations to this sort of reconfiguration? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
