The default is fine and working. Only you change the account settings; i.e. you know what you're doing.

Cheers

Sorry, I'm not being awkward here, but can't the install have Florin's info displayed when creating accounts? It would make an already awesome piece of software even more user friendly.

Cheers.

This isn't an MNF2 issue, it's a MANDRAKE issue. Florin's last post on the
subject was that it was not going to change because again, it's a Mandrake
issue/feature.

Plain and simple, don't assign ANYTHING to the admin during the install. Ff
you've already installed make admin a member of the wheel group.

Slainte.

This is my point. It is being discussed a lot which means a lot of people are encountering the problem. I think the install process needs to do a bit more hand holding so you know what to expect.

Cheers.

This has been covered a LOT in the past and although Neill stated that you
cannot SU as admin, read Florin's posts in the archives. IOW, search the
archives.

I tryed the "su" command with the same result. I don't have the problem with MNF1: loggin as admin then with "su" i can open my concole as root. But with MNF2 when i try "su" the shell return a "wrong password" message. However, in failsafe mode I can logging as admin then with "su" logging as root.

Hi,
I have a problem with my MNF2 beta: I can't loggin as root, just with
my admin account.
It works fine in failsafe mode but not in normal mode.
Is anybody could help me?
