INFORMATION ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Information Assurance Engineer with hands on experience and familiarity with
the security aspects for LAN and WANs; physical, personnel and
telecommunications security.  Candidate must have a Bachelors degree,
preferably EE.  10-15 years of current, hands-on experience with familiarity
in DITSCAP, NIACAP, NIST and NSA Security doctrine.  The candidate will
support new initiatives and perfect a COMmunications SECurity program.
Telecommunications support analysis skills; supporting the existing
connectivity requirements to accommodate individual and vendor support
connections, flexiplace dial-ins, commercial brokers and other off-net
point-to-point circuits, and the client's WAN.  

Candidate must be able to: assess plans and procedures for providing
security on mainframe personal computers, Novell and/or NT networks,
Internet, and telephone-based services; develop test plans for assessing
security on network, Internet, and telecom-based systems and develop
compensating controls for any weaknesses identified; develop change control
processes for tracking proposed changes through the implementation phase
according to standard; provide cost estimates and candidate solutions for an
improved audit system for tracking activity; and liaison activities.  This
position requires that the candidate interact regularly with high level
government officials and therefore must have excellent communication and
writing skills.  The candidate will be required to obtain a Security
Clearance.

Position is located in Springfield/Newington, VA.


SYSTEM DESIGN SECURITY OFFICER

This position supports an enterprise-level IA program for a large Federal
customer requiring extensive experience in system security design, security
practices and IA tools. Environment supported is MVS with world wide
distributed access through LAN/WAN. Candidate will have strength in software
development with a strong knowledge and experience in the security
background. Strong communication and coordinator skills with an ability to
interact and negotiate with clients and developers in reference to
requirements. Candidate must possess the ability to communicate security
concepts to diverse audiences and translate them into the particular context
of applications. Candidate must be adaptable to change and diverse
situations and demonstrate an interest in expanding their skills with little
guidelines. 
Duties:
Ensure that an IS security analysis is conducted to determine appropriate
security requirements during the design stage of an application.
Ensure that the IS design meets a specified set of security requirements and
that it includes the implementation of an adequate audit trail capability of
security-related activities as prescribed by the client
Assist developers in ensuring that IS security requirements for all
applications comply with all laws and regulations and that requirements are
appropriate and sufficient
Ensure IS security plans are developed for all other documentation required
and that the application is certified
Provide written justification, when appropriate 
Coordinate deployment of new systems and assume joint responsibility to
prepare the initial Accreditation Package and Interconnection Security
Agreement
Representation at key project meetings
Requirements:
Candidate will be required to obtain a Security Clearance.
Familiarity with government IA practices required.
BS Degree in CS, EE or related field (MS preferred).
Minimum 11 years experience of relevant experience.
Prior Program/Project management experience.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
IBM MVS Familiarity.
Extensive WAN/LAN Experience.
Experience Desired:
Oracle DB experience strongly desired.
Security Certifications (CISSP, etc.).
DITSCAP experience.

INFORMATION ASSURANCE ENGINEER W/ DITSCAP OR NIACAP EXP.

Information Assurance Engineer with network certification and accreditation
support using DITSCAP and/or NIACAP process.  Candidate will have experience
performing risk assessments of UNIX and NT networks and knowledge of the
accreditation process following the DITSCAP or NIACAP guidance.  Candidate
will also of knowledge of various network architectures (LAN, WAN, ATM) and
have DITSCAP or NIACAP training.  Desired experience includes familiarity
with commercial-off-the-shelf software security products - firewalls, IDS,
routers.  Preferred candidate will have reviewed completed C & A actions and
provided recommendations for approval and have CISSP certification.

Position is located at corporate headquarters in Reston, VA.

SYSTEM SECURITY OFFICER
Dynamic position on-site in the Springfield-Newington area requiring
talented individuals with experience in at least one or more of the
following areas.  ALL Candidates MUST have MVS OS390 experience:
1. PKI Expert.  Experience and/or knowledge in the application and
administration of PKI, preferably Entrust a PLUS. One-quarter of their time
will be devoted to the study and implementation of PKI. The candidate will
be directly involved with the Certificates and Registration Authority for as
many as 25000 users, an unknown number of machines and applications. They
will represent the Client at forums and meetings on/about this application.
2. MVS Security Expert. System-level programmer that must be totally
familiar with IBM MVS and the OS/390 operating system and understand the
logical uses and accesses within MVS and CICS along with their supporting
procedures. The person must possess the ability to test and attempt to
circumvent existing controls and identify procedural, application and
security weaknesses which could undermine current controls. The person must
be available to consult and recommend enhancements where deficiencies exist.
The person would setup and maintain a quarterly test schedule for the four
mainframes located at the Client Data Center. 
3. Oracle Security Officer duties. Candidate must be thoroughly familiar
with Oracle and its database applications, preferably Oracle 8 and 8i. The
person must be cognizant of the application of Security Controls in a
role-based atmosphere and be willing to consult and advise the Oracle
Database Administrators and Implementors on the security controls available
to them. 
4. UNIX Security Officer duties. The candidate must be familiar with the
controls and security enhancements available to UNIX platforms, especially
Sun's Solaris. Background in Unix-based Intrusion Detection Systems a plus. 
The candidate must be a team player, have proven documentation capability
and be able to communicate effectively. The candidate must also be able to
obtain a security clearance based on background of personal and financial
scrutiny. The candidate must have the ability to analyze and test various
security controls and security enhancements at least on a quarterly basis.
Essentially, the candidate will monitor Oracle structure for possible
vulnerability's associated with the database; audit and monitor UNIX to lock
in security features aimed at reducing possible risks associated with the
operating system; audit MVS OS/390, CA TopSecret and the mainframe for
possible risks/vulnerability's and advise and study PKI/IKE requirements and
recommendations. Candidate will be required to obtain a security clearance.

NETWORK SECURITY ANALYST/COMPUTER INCIDENT RESPONSE TEAM SPECIALIST
Candidate will monitor and assess the status of the Enterprise Security
System and increase the use of automated information security tools for
detecting and/or preventing computer security incidents. Candidate will
review actual or suspected incidents and vulnerabilities detected and take
appropriate action to correct the identified problem or cause. Will be
expanding the Intrusion Detection capability and develop an enhanced
capability to proactively monitor networks. Will be monitoring the
effectiveness of C-SIRT capabilities using a set of metrics developed. 20
years of professional exp with 10 yrs generalized exp in Security Systems,
security incident problem resolution on a distributed network highly
desired. Information Assurance Tools exp required. Knowledge of government
regulations, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated ability to work
independently in the absence of specific guidance as well as within a team
environment. Undergraduate degree required, technical area preferred.
Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
preferred.
