To be considered for this role you need the following mandatory skills: (1)
Proven track record developing channel sales in the Enterprise level IT
space with a direct sales background; (2) Demonstrated ability to
consistently over achieve targets; and (3) Proven ability administer the
Channel, including product delivery related tasks.

You will be joining a company with tremendous vision, growth and energy.
This means that your performance will be recognised and you will be
positioned for growth within the company that could also lead to Asia
Pacific roles.


Within the first 3 months of joining this company you will be expected to
have developed exceptionally strong relationships with their existing VARs
and Distributors and to have identified and developed relationships with an
additional 4 VARs. You should be familiar with the companies' products and
be able to start assessing the performance of your channels.

You should have also developed internal relationships and be working closely
with Marketing, Direct Sales and Management and have a good handle on the
revenue that is to generated through the channel for the rest of the year.
You will be expected to exceed $4mn US in 2002.

For the rest of the year you will be consolidating your position, reviewing
the performance of your re-sellers and directly generating revenue for the
company. You will be expected to generate 3-500K per quarter, in addition to
the current churn generated by the re-sellers.

You are a professional channel sales manager who is energetic, driven and
hungry with at least 3 years experience directly in the role. You like a
challenge and expect to work in an environment where you are generally
autonomous. You are a team player who easily gains the respect of peers,
management and customers.

The right package will be negotiated to secure the best person.  A guide is
a base salary of up to $120k with 60K bonus and open-ended overachievement
commission plus benefits.

This role is currently only open to those with the right to work in
Australia (those who don't require sponsorship).
