This opening requires an active Top Secret Clearance with a polygraph

The Unix Systems Administrator/Eng is responsible for installation, configuration, 
performance tuning and maintenance of a wide variety of servers as needed for 
Development and Release Testing. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment often 
requiring the ability to multitask on various projects.

The successful candidate needs to be able to troubleshoot hardware, software, and 
network related problems.  Candidates must also be able to integrate hosts into 
distributed systems, support Sendmail services, administer DNS, conduct backup 
services, script in Perl and the various Unix shells, and configure workstations and 
servers.

The successful candidate will also be proficient in dealing with network Internet 
security 
issues using the Gauntlet firewall application.  Familiarity with Cisco routers, 
switches 
and Bastion Hosts are highly desirable.

5+ Years Systems Administrations on one or more of the following: UNIX, Sun Solaris, 
NT Bourne/Korn shell scripting experience, and HP OpenView. Performance Monitoring 
/ Tuning experience. The ability to work with a wide variety of Hardware/Software is 
assumed. Excellent Troubleshooting Skills and solid working knowledge of TCP/IP 
networks RDBMS knowledge. Database administration skills (e.g. Oracle DBA) an 
Advantage. Storage Array / SAN / Mass-Storage Subsystem experience needed.  
Extensive knowledge of Unix computer platforms, their operating systems and relevant 
support of system's management software required.  Degree in technical field or 
equivalent experience and 6+ years of system administration experience in complex 
networking environment.
