Perot Systems Healthcare is looking for an Information Security Specialist for our Orange County, CA location. Perot Systems is an International Information Technology Outsourcing company with over 8000 employees in 13 countries. http://www.perotsystems.com In this exciting role you will develop, implement and enforce our enterprise security policy and standards. In addition, you will manage our client's health system's security awareness program and provide periodic updates on security with high-level management. In this role you will identify and follow through on security training programs for network administrators, managers, and end-users. You will assist in clinical and non-clinical departments with identifying and implementing appropriate security measures and participate in our IT Security Task Force. The employee will formulate and lead an Incident Response Team and develop incidence detection and response procedures. In addition, you will ensure appropriate standardized security is implemented and maintained by related technical groups responsible for firewalls, directories, and servers. You will develop policy and the planning of long-range goals for security in our client's health system, including HIPPA IT Security. In addition, you will oversee contingency planning and disaster recovery operations, work with applications to ensure adequate security is incorporated into system designs and implementations, and overview enterprise wide security initiatives. This individual will assess and recommend new security technologies as appropriate, manage scheduled internal intrusion attack tests, and coordinate a periodic external unscheduled intrusion attack by 3rd party vendor. Finally you will own the Central Security Database which would be integrated with a centralized directory, and determine the appropriate level of insurance coverage for security threats. Required skills: 3+ years of experience with WIN NT, Novell, CA-ACF2, RACF, CA-T, Healthcare & security administrative experience. Desired skills: Experience in wide-ranging security issues in a healthcare environment, including HIPPA security requirements. CISSP or GIAC certification is highly desired.
