TEST LAB MANAGER - AUSTIN, TX
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The Lab Manager Test Engineer is a dual purpose 
role. He/She will be part of a highly motivated team 
primarily focused with validation testing of the full 
suite of our products. Suite is a hardware and 
software security solution. 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
o       Plans, creates, debugs, maintains and 
documents multi-departmental test lab. 
o       Develops, plans and implements the 
overall strategic goals of the test network and lab. 
Interacts with test engineers, engineers, project 
managers, and marketing to manage lab setup. 
o       Evaluates and recommends changes to 
lab in response to the organization's needs. 
o       Evaluates our products to be tested - 
review requirements, write test plans, perform tests, 
and log issues. Work directly with developers to 
resolve issues. 
o       Provides support for product demos in 
house and traveling setup. Works directly with 
development, test, product management and 
marketing to support the company's needs. 
o       Assumes ownership of and drives 
scheduling of shared test resources.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
o       Must have 5+ years relevant experience in 
large-scale networks preferably in hardware/software 
development environment. 
o       Must have a minimum of 3 years 
experience designing, troubleshooting, maintaining, 
lab and test environments. 
o       Must be intimately familiar with various 
LAN, WAN & network management technologies. 
Experience in multiple aspects of software or service 
testing, certification or development. 
o       Practical experience and broad product 
knowledge of network management systems used 
(Openview, Tivoli, etc) for provisioning, inventory, 
fault management, performance analysis and 
capacity planning, SNMP, MIB's, etc. 
o       Personal initiative and interpersonal skills 
to provide the required support and technical 
assistance to persons of varying technical 
background and knowledge. 
o       Must have a minimum of 2 years 
experience writing test scenarios and test 
procedures. 
o       Willingness to be flexible and do whatever 
it takes to meet objectives. 
o       Able to size work efforts appropriately and 
manage time effectively. 
o       Able to work with little to no direct 
supervision.LI>Candidate should have Bachelor's or 
technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer 
Science, Telecommunications or equivalent work 
experience.
