Responsibilities As a Web Application Security Architect you will be responsible for the technical leadership for the development of web application security assessment technologies and services. You will lead and deliver the design, development, implementation, and support of web application security solutions for Certified Security Solutions (CSS) clients in both the public and private sectors. In a Consultant capacity, you will assist in defining pre-implementation system security guidance and conduct post-implementation risk evaluation and follow-up. You will also be looked to as a general Security Architecture SME, and thus be expected to participate in the design and development of systems and application security related solutions, products, and services. Expectations include maintaining currency in information security technology through both formal and informal training, as well as providing technical guidance and assistance to other less senior individual contributors.
Requirements BS/BA in Computer Science/Information Technology is required. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of experience with IT security (e.g. application layer security, OS security, etc.). Minimum 5+ years of experience building web application security architecture, including significant experience conducting web application, web server, network and host security assessments, with extensive knowledge of tools, techniques, and technologies. Must have thorough understanding of web server and web application platform architectures, extensive knowledge of web programming, portal software, directory (ldap) and web security access software such as RSA, CLEARTRUST, or IBM/Tivoli policy director, and a detailed understanding of web protocols and technologies. Thorough understanding of a broad range of web application development environments and associated tools. Superior application and systems analysis and design skills, and thorough knowledge and understanding of the SW development life cycle. Working in an implementation environment with J2EE, .Net, etc., is highly desirable.
