Security Engineer � Financial Services Philadelphia, PA $70-$120K base + bonus Relocation
My client is a financial services firm located in the greater Philadelphia area. They are looking for an experienced security engineer with a strong OS and networking background. The security group is small and the organization is flat, therefore they need someone who is highly capable that can take on a variety of responsibilities ranging from security administration, to trouble shooting, to enterprise-wide solutions implementation, all in a high availability environment. The organization is technologically progressive and upper management supports and understands the need for a best practices based Information Security program. My client is highly selective and only those with solid security engineering experience will be considered. Further, a consultative nature is required because the role requires the ability to work with internal lines of business to define requirements, develop solutions, and solve existing problems. There are some compelling reasons that make this an opportunity worth pursuing. First of all, the financial services industry (FSI) is a highly regulated and competitive industry - as a result adequate funding is allocated for information security and many cutting edge solutions are implemented here first. Second, the experience gained maintaining and implementing security in FSI environments is highly valuable and will increase marketability for longer-term career goals.
