Overview:  Our pre-IPO client, a wholly owned subsidiary of 
a Fortune 100 Defense company, is a pioneer in next 
generation network security analysis. The parent company 
invested 4 years of R&D to develop a patented technology 
never before available to the public sector.  Launched in 
June 2000, our client is now a leader in their field, 
having sold 450 licenses and wrap around implementation 
services to an enviable customer base of both government 
agencies and Fortune 1000 organizations.  Directly 
addressing the estimated 80% of network security breaches 
by internal employees, this highly sophisticated software 
solution is customized to each client’s internal network 
environment.   The product visually generates a unique 3-D 
display of network communications, rendering any malicious 
or anomalous network behavior glaringly obvious.  Whether 
the cause is a disgruntled employee or the inadvertent 
spread of macro viruses, our client’s solution enables 
companies to quickly identify the sources of internal and 
external attack and stop the activity immediately 
preventing exposure and damage.   Because our client’s 
technology addresses a huge unmet need for the protection 
of mission-critical information within an enterprise 
network, they have asked us to recruit two top flight sales 
professionals to drive the penetration of the federal 
market, including the defense and security agencies.  

Position Requirements: The successful candidate will be a 
high energy sales professional with a dynamic personality, 
a proven track record of selling network security software 
and services, and  track record of success selling into the 
Federal Government market.  Relying on 5-7 years of sales 
experience and a growing network of relationships within 
key agencies, the successful candidate will leverage his 
breadth of experience in selling network security solutions 
with both a software and a services component.  Our client 
is looking for experienced locally based sales 
professionals: the successful candidate will be a sales 
professional with an active security clearance and 
successful experience in both selling network security 
solutions into the  federal government (e.g. understanding 
of GSA schedule, etc.) The successful candidate must have 
proven experience in consultative solution selling of 
network security software and services selling, including a 
prior track record of successful sales of engagements 
averaging at least $150K.  Our client is not looking for a 
pure software sales person, but for professionals who pride 
themselves -- and excel -- on the consultative and services 
component of the sale, as well.  Because our client is 
committed to preserving a high energy culture with an 
unequalled level of morale, the successful candidate must 
have a stable employment history with a consistent track 
record of exceeding progressively higher quotas.  

Compensation for this position includes a competitve base 
salary depending on experience, plus commission of 4% of 
revenues, and an unrecoverable draw for the first three 
months.
