Metropolitan Area Description: Will work with the Configuration Management system for all IDS related systems. Responsible for Back-up and archiving system for related IDS Data. Will support the system analysis of data supplied by the IDS logs and reports for possible threats and attacks. Requires 1+ years in the information security arena as a Security Administrator/IDS Technician. Must have strong working knowledge/experience with IDS systems: SecureNet Pro, Cisco IDS, Dragon, Snort, etc. Requires experience providing Security on large national and/or international or government networks with DS3 traffic levels and above. Education Requirements: Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience (7-10 years) in related field; or hold certification of CISSP, SSCP, SANS - GCIA, CCNP, firewall certification or related professional certification. Additional Tool Sets: Familiarity with the following: SecureNet Pro & SecureNet Provider, Cisco IDS, SNORT, Dragon, Real Secure, Microsoft SQL 2000, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Advanced Server, Microsoft 2000, Linux, Unix (scripting experience desired), TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, Tools (ISS, Web Inspect, SAINT, SATAN, Tripwire, etc.) Special Requirements: The ability to secure Top Secret credentials with compartmented access is required.
