Sales Engineer, San Mateo - Bay Area Responsibilities ---------------- The Sales Engineer will work closely with Sales Representatives from the SecurityFocus team. The Sales Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales. The Sales Engineer will assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint, will be the main technical resource on sales calls, answer and educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration. In this role, the Sales Engineer will be very conversant with networking security applications and solutions. Finally during the post-sales, the Sales Engineer will be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate and resolve customers technical issues. The Sales Engineer will also assist identified customers with post-sales training. Qualifications -------------- The ideal candidate will possess: � Outstanding presentation skills oral and written � Strong background in integration of security applications with commercial databases. � 5 years of pre-sales experience preferably with a security company � Stronger than working knowledge of IDS packages and vulnerability management. This role will require up to 40% travel and will be compensated competitively.
