My client is a high profile Information Security product and services
company. They are looking for someone whose primary responsibilities
will be deploying security assessment software and interfacing with
clients in support of the product. This is similar to a Sales
Engineering role but there is a heavier emphasis on the engineering
aspect than with most SE positions. The candidate really needs to be a
solid security engineer who works and plays well with clients and is
comfortable supporting the sales process. The SADC will be a part of a
small, highly skilled team where they will have significant
responsibility for delivering a leading-edge security solution to large
enterprise organizations. The most successful candidates will also have
enterprise consulting experience, preferably to large financial services
firms and technology companies. They will have not only superior
technical and communication skills, but also knowledge of developing and
implementing business processes.
Required Skills
* Knowledge of Windows security / OS hardening / Windows networking
and UNIX platforms
* High level computer networking skills (TCP/IP) � must know ports
and protocols well
* Firewall knowledge
* Working knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools
* Experience using Microsoft SQL Server preferred
* Knowledge of information security topics and technology (experience
configuring and running vulnerability scanners)
* Experience conducting technical training
* Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
* Good presentation skills
* Good organization skills; capable of effectively balancing multiple
responsibilities
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with
minimal supervision
* Demonstrated ability in creative problem solving.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with customers and
team members
Qualifications
* A minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience in Information
Security consulting.
* Enterprise consulting skills encompassing technical issues,
business processes, and training. Sales support skills, such as
previous positions as a pre-sales engineer, are a plus.
* BA/BS degree in management information systems, computer science,
or another technology-related field of study.
* Preferred MCSE + Internet certifications
* CCNA, CCNP, CCSE, CCSA, Information Security industry
certifications ( SANS, ISC2, etc.)
