 * I have a MS degree in Computer Science with a thesis in
   the area of Network Security (Intrusion Detection).Development in
   Perl.

 * Security Professional Certification - Systems Security Certified
   Practitioner, SSCP hosted by isc2.org (April 27, 2002).

 * I have about 4 months of experience in the IT Security area with
   Schlumberger in Austin. Worked as a Software Engineer Intern.
   Worked with the MS SQL Server 2000. Developed web based interface for
   the company IDS.

 * I possess the CCNA (Cisco Certification, 02/21/02). Sound knowledge
   of LAN technologies and TCP/IP fundamentals.

 * Worked as a System Administrator for about 1 year. Maintained Unix
   machines (Linux, AIX and Solaris). Also worked with Windows system.

 * Working towards the MCSA certification.

 * Worked on a Rent-A-Car Database Project using Sybase.

 * Experience with C and Perl Programming.

* Schlumberger ATC - August 2001 - December 2001

Intrusion Detection 

Developed a web based IDS interface to provide the information security
personnel with controlled access over the company's Intrusion Detection
System. The interface allowed tracking and indentifying violators of the
security policy. Interface was developed using Perl/CGI, MS SQL Server
2000 and the Real Secure IDS. 

Risk Analysis
        
Developed a process for risk assessment of the various business lines of
Schlumberger.
The process used the data from LDAP, IDS and network scanning tools to
perform a risk assessment based on certain clipping levels and developed a
score card displaying the severity levels of the various key attributes.

* Intrusion Detection System, Center of Network Security
(CONS Lab), University of Florida - August 2000 - July 2001

Designed the architecture of Response Server for an
Intrusion Detection System. Involved integrating the
generic architecture with the existing setup and
developing a product useful for commercial IDS systems.
Day to day activities included the role of a System
Administrator and Team Leader. Development was done
in Perl.

* System Administrator, College of Pharmacy, University of
Florida - May 2000 - July 2000

Helped maintain Novell network with over 300 client
workstations running off of 3 main servers and
assisted in maintaining college web presence using
Windows NT4 (PDC & BDC). Integrated over 50
new client machines onto existing network without
interruption of network service. Tested new
software to ascertain compatibility with existing
Network Operating System and was part of a team in
introducing software onto network. Day to day activities
included educational support to college staff
and faculty with new software and hardware.

* Vice President, Indian Student Association, University
of Florida - May 2000 - May 2001

Provided voluntary services for the welfare of the ISA,
a non-profit organization and the community. Additional
responsibilities included managing a team of directors
and coordinating their activities.

Past and Current Projects

* AIX 4.3 installation on IBMB50 Enterprise Servers.

* Solaris 8 installation, Web Server, MySQL server/client,  
  NFS/NIS setup for the Center of Network Security (CONS Lab).

* Implemented a multi-threaded , TCP/UDP socket-based
  Client/Server application in Java.

* Developed a Name Lookup Service similar to Domain Name
  Service (DNS) using Java RMI.

* Port Sentry implementation, a port scan detector
  implemented in Java.

* Java implementation of a highly available database.

* SQL/Perl implementation of a Rent-A-Car Database System
