We are looking for expert to fill Wireless Security Engineer Position in Washington DC.
Full time Permanent Position with 80-90K base salary with Benefits and Bonuses Job Description: Under general supervision, employee is responsible for developing requirements, detailed designs, specifications, integration testing, and deployment of outdoor IEEE 802.11B/A wireless systems for the INS wide area network (WAN)., Position will: develop, validate, and track requirements for wireless access from remote location, and mobile vehicles; conduct site surveys to determine anticipated areas of coverage with different components; perform research to identify candidate RF access point and wireless bridge equipment offerings from vendors; develop designs for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint, tower-mounted and mobile solutions; identify appropriate RF antennas; identify appropriate tower and mobile antenna mounting options; develop subnet designs; identify alternatives to satisfy security requirements; develop RF calculations to ensure sufficient radiated power to satisfy throughput and distance requirements; develop and coordinate specifications for proposed solu! tions; integrate and test wireless RF units, desktop/laptop computers, firewalls, switches, and routers in an end-to-end solution; coordinate IP address assignment and issuance of security tokens; coordinate installation and deployment testing with local site personnel; deploy and test integrated wireless solutions., Must be able to work independently with only general guidance, and experienced at making independent decisions concerning network design and deployment, and with dealing with multiple contractor and government organizations. Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience required. Required Skills: 1 year of general LAN/WAN experience with some knowledge of wireless concepts. Knowledge of 802.11b equipment. In-progress Cisco certification is required. Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires U.S. citizenship. Desired Skills: Cisco wireless certification. Experience using digital microwave as data transport.
