As Counterpane Internet Security continues to grow, we continue to seek
talented security professionals to add to our East Coast Secure Operations
Center (SOC), located in Chantilly, Virginia just south of Dulles Airport.
This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in being a part of
a cutting edge service.  Every day you will have the opportunity to broaden
your security expertise with new attacks to investigate and new attackers to
track.  Duties include incident response and escalation management in a 24x7
environment.  The Security Engineer will also be responsible for other
duties as assigned.


The following qualifications are required:
        *       Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
        *       Experience as a Unix and/or Windows NT System Administrator
        *       Experience with TCP/IP networking
        *       Experience with both network and host-based Intrusion
Detection products
        *       Advanced knowledge of Information Security concepts,
including security policies, standards, and guidelines (CISSP/SANS GIAC
certifications preferred)
        *       Experience as a leader in a team environment
        *       Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
        *       Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff as well
as less technical colleagues
        *       Excellent teamwork skills and cooperative behavior with
colleagues and supervisors
        *       Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple
deadlines
