Job description:
Perform as a Sr. Security Engineer to accomplish the following tasks:
evaluate existing server and network architectures configurations; analyze
underlying system architectures, monitors networks.
Provide subject matter expertise on vulnerability assessments, IDS
deployment, systems hardening. Perform all procedures necessary to ensure
the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from
intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. May be involved with
databases, networks, stand-alone microcomputers, mainframes, or
minicomputers. Interfaces with the user community to understand their
security needs and implements procedures to provide support. Ensures the
user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain
security. Conducts required security audits and assessments.
Candidate will be required to perform all aspects of network security to
include; analysis, monitoring, configuration, engineering and incident
response. Thorough understanding of network engineering fundamentals across
an enterprise Intranet and ability to develop network solutions.
Skills Required:
CISSP.
Broad knowledge of IT and IT security standards, including ISO17799.
In depth technical knowledge of security infrastructure including IPSec,
L2TP, PKI and authentication systems. Engineering/design/hands on experience
with security Technologies, products, tools and procedures; Cisco routers,
Cisco firewalls, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
Strong network monitoring skills.
Engineering/design/hands on experience with Windows 2000, AIX, Novell
security; ports and protocol procedures, Intrusion Detection Systems,
Network Security Architecture, Risk and Vulnerabilitites Assessement,
Penetration Testing, Remote Access solutions and VPN; Antivirus and content
filtering; system hardening; web servers, application servers, database
servers and Network Servers. Knowledge of DNS, WINS, and Active Directory is
critical.
