The following position is located at our corporate offices in Bryan/College Station, 
Texas.  It is primarily entry level.  This is a great opportunity for an Aggies (Texas 
A&M)  looking to move back to the area.

TITLE:  IS Internal Auditor 

POSITIONS SUPERVISED:   None

RESPONSIBLE TO: IS Auditor Manager 

DEPARTMENT:     Internal Audit

LOCATION:       Bryan, TX


I.      JOB PURPOSE:

Performs audits of automated systems throughout the company to ensure that adequate 
controls are maintained, and to provide for the production of quality Information 
Systems (IS) reports.  Performs risk analysis to identify business risk and recommend 
appropriate controls.

II.     DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*       Assists in the application of IS audit techniques with other members of the 
Internal Audit staff in connection with the development of standardized audit 
procedures. 

*       Participates in the evaluation of new IS systems and major changes to existing 
systems with respect to the adequacy of system controls, data retention, audit trails, 
security and reporting.

*       Ensures that all audit work is conducted in accordance with work programs and 
departmental standards, through proper completion of all audit work papers and 
compliance with quality standards of the department.

*       Ensures that all audit findings and recommendations are documented in a form 
and in a time frame, which is consistent with the significance of the issues and 
departmental standards.

*       Keeps up-to-date on technological developments in the areas of IS auditing, 
systems, and programming.

*       Completes special assignments as instructed by the Manager.

*       Performs other duties as assigned.
        

III.    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
        
*       Demonstrated knowledge in Information Systems (IS) and telecommunication 
technical concepts and issues, and IS audit techniques applicable to mainframe, 
personal computer and network environments.  

*       Proficient in the use of microcomputers.
        
�       Bachelor's degree (B.B.A. or B.Sc.) in accounting from an accredited 
university or a comparable degree in finance, computer science, management information 
systems, or other business specialty.
