A leading Atlanta-based Internet Security company is in search of a full- time Research and Development Engineer who is available to begin immediately. The unique candidate is someone who is an expert in Internet Security and Penetration Testing and can quickly assess applications to determine their weaknesses and vulnerabilities. This person will work in a Research and Development environment and will have the following primary responsibilities: - Conduct Penetration Tests for clients. - Research new Internet hacking techniques. - Develop penetration testing productivity tools and prototypes. - Research published vulnerabilities - Write and publish white papers. - Speak at conferences. This position requires a passion for Internet Security and the ability to effectively research and document at a highly technical level. This job is much broader than normal Penetration Testing position. Penetration Testing will account for approximately 50% of the candidate's time. The remaining 50% will be dedicated to the other responsibilities listed above. Technical Requirements: - Must be an expert in Internet Security. - Web application security is a plus. - Strong Penetration Testing skills. - Strong C, C++, Perl, Python, skills in a Microsoft development environment. - Experience developing commercial applications a plus. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Independent, self-motivated worker requiring little supervision. - Strong problem solving skills. - Strong research skills. - Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field of study.
